Emission Monitoring of Flare & Cooling Towers
One example of providing comprehensive measurement solutions is the requirement of monitoring Highly Reactive Volatile Organic Compounds (HRVOC).To achieve federally mandated ozone attainment compliance in the Houston-Galveston area, the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality (TCEQ), among other regulations, is requiring the quantification and reduction of HRVOC emission from flare and cooling water.
Siemens developed, documented and installed hundreds of complete measurement solutions for these requirements. By studying the regulations, designing a comprehensive turn-key analytical system and applying front-end engineering to adapt those standardized measurement systems to the individual plant needs, Siemens has been able to provide cost effective measurement solutions including field compliance certifications and long term customer support.
