Low NOx CEMS
EPA COMPLIANTThe Configurable Low NOx CEMS, is a low cost emissions monitoring package designed to operate outdoors without a shelter. The targeted areas are NOx reduction sites within the U.S with a large amount of activity anticipated within the Texas Gulf Coast area. The monitoring requirements are based on the U.S. E.P.A. 1990 Clean Air Act as detailed in 40CFR-Part 60 as well as local/state requirements. The Systems will be designed to monitor predefined ranges of nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, and oxygen in gas fired boilers and furnaces. The key feature of the System is low cost of installation. The analysis cabinet does not require installation inside of a shelter for environmental protection.
The System consists of two major components, the analysis cabinet and the sample probe box. The analysis cabinet is a climate-controlled enclosure designed to protect the instrumentation contained within the cabinet from the potentially harsh environmental conditions. The analysis cabinet contains the analyzers, a system controller and a SCS. The probe box is mounted at the sample extraction point, usually on a stack or exhaust duct. The probe box is designed to extract and filter the hot wet sample from the stack or duct. The filtered sample is then transported to the analysis cabinet by heated line for water removal and quantification. The system is designed to measure pre-defined ranges of nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide and oxygen.
