WL Low Voltage Switchgear @ Siemens

Superior Power Distribution

Siemens Type WL low voltage metal-enclosed switchgear is designed, constructed and tested to provide superior power distribution, power monitoring and control.  At the heart of the Type WL low voltage switchgear is the World Class Siemens WL breaker.  The Type WL low voltage switchgear assembly consists of one or more metal-enclosed vertical sections.  Each vertical section consists of up to four individually enclosed breaker or auxiliary compartments which are designed to provide superior modularity and uniform height. Included in each assembly (lineup) are various components such as WL circuit breakers, instrumentation and control equipment, transformers, relays, three-phase bus work and all internal wiring, connectors and other supporting equipment.

Plant Engineering Product of the Year Finalist

Plant Engineering magazine held its 21st Annual Product of the Year Competition in September.  The competition is to honor new products in the plant engineering markets.  Finalists are chosen for creating an especially useful product for the plant engineer. 

This year Siemens entered the WL Arc Resistant Low Voltage Switchgear and it was chosen as one of the finalists. The WL arc resistant switchgear is featured in the November 2008 Plant Engineering issue and the readers will vote to select the winners. The winner will be announced in January.
