The Local Display Unit (LDU) provides a centralized display for trip units, meters and I/O devices. It eliminates the need to install individual displays on each breaker in electrical equipment when local monitoring is desired. The unit provides the convenience of having one location at the electrical equipment from which to monitor the entire line-up. Additionally the LDU provides a communication link that allows customers to manage their electrical distribution system remotely with a Siemens Energy Management System.
LDU Editor software is provided with the unit for quick and easy set-up. The LDU is capable of communicating with up to 32 ACCESS devices daisy chained on an RS485 communication line. It has an internal pass-through port for upstream communication and is powered by 24VDC.
