Full graphical tool to create cams
Easy to use and many functions for optimization
Simultaneous display of position, velocity, acceleration Comprehensive zoom and measuring functions available
SIMOTION CamTool is a powerful graphics-based editor for generation and optimization of cams and supports the following features:
The curve is displayed in graphic format in an x-y diagram (leading and following axis positions)
The curve can be described by inserting approximate fixed points, interpolation points, straight lines, sine lines, or arc-sine lines
CamTool connects these elements automatically to create a continuous curve, ensuring that the transitions between the individual curve segments are as homogenous as possible
Simply move the set curve segments with the mouse to optimize the curve. The curve profile will be modified immediately in accordance with your modifications
Display characteristics for speed, acceleration, and jerk on the following axis caused by the movement of the master axis.
Features:
Precise, graphic display of the curve
Entries can be made quickly and easily by inserting curve elements with a drag-and-drop operation
Fast and easy optimization of the curve by means of "dragging the profile"
Simultaneous display of position, speed, acceleration, and jerk characteristics immediately indicates the effect on the maximum speed, the required motor torque, and the mechanical load
Curve can also be optimized in relation to speed, acceleration, or jerk
Basic principles of motion correspond to VDI 2143.
