SIMOTION D435 is the compact drive-based Motion Control platform which combines Motion Control, Logic Control, and Drive Control in one single hardware in drive mounting technology. With SIMOTION D the drive becomes the control for the entire machine functionality.

SIMOTION D435 includes all software for Motion Control, technological functions, Logic Control, and Drive Control (servo and vector) for the entire machine applications. The Control Unit D435 is connected to the drives components (Infeed, rectifier, encoder) by a backplane which is in case of SIMOTION D and Ethernet cable called DRIVE-CLiQ. This technology allows the distribution of the drive components. PROFIBUS can be used for remote periphery, Engineering, and HMI. Ethernet can be used also for engineering, HMI (OPC) and for connections to networks.On board Ethernet can be also used for Engineering, HMI and connection to a network.
