SINAMICS S120 chassis are a modular set of drive components for integration into enclosures by specialist drives panel builders, system integrators or OEMs. An S120 drive comprises one or more infeed module (rectifier) and motor module (inverter) and controller, which can be mounted together or separately. These can be combined with an extensive array of optional components. S120 allows the easy configuration of the highest performance and most complex multi-motor drive systems, supported by the tools common to the SINAMICS family:
      SIZER:  For selecting components and configuring the drive system
     STARTER: For start-up, commissioning and optimization

SINAMICS S120 power modules are offered as either a protected chassis (IP20) for ratings up to 400 HP (490A), or for larger ratings above 400 HP in an open chassis (IP00) design.
The power module needs to be combined with one of a range of controllers, selected to match the functionality and performance requirements.
