The VBII Disconnect Line in 30-200A ratings is now released for sale. We expect to release 400 and 600A units and the window kits by mid August. This new line is detailed on pages 18/19 through 18/23 of the Control Catalog and in described in Product Guide SSBR-VBIIG-0107. It provides a number of advantages over both the existing MCS line and competitive offerings including:
Panel mounted switches with either variable depth shaft or Max-Flex cable operation.
Labor saving flange mounted switch assemblies that mount with 2 bolts directly to the inside surface of the enclosure handle opening.
The line base, load base and operating mechanism are all preassembled to a metal mounting pan in the factory. This provides the panel builder with two important benefits: 1) Significant labor savings since there are no lugs or fuse clips to install and no separate bases and mechanisms to mount. 2) A reduction in liability since we align and locate the line base, the load base and operating mechanism in the factory.
A complete line of easy to install accessories including low resistance auxiliary contacts, fuse pullers and neutral kits to maximize application flexibility.
Standard Class H fusing is easily adapted to accept Class R, J or T fuses.
The complete MCS line will continue to be offered for those customers who need a visible blade switch with a rotary handle or left hand operation.
