LOGO!Power: Power supply for the Safety Monitor and load power supply for the AS-Interface modules
SIMATIC S7-200: Controls the plant section of the machine
CP 243-2 AS-Interface master: Communicates with the AS-Interface bus
Compact module K60: Digital inputs and outputs for process signals
Safe compact module K45F: Safe digital inputs for process signals, e.g. to enable the Safety Monitor
Limit switch: e.g. if the machine moves out of the permissible range
EMERGENCY STOP with AS-i F-adapter
Safety Monitor: Controls the safe modules
AS-Interface power supply: Power supply for the AS-Interface bus
Automation task:
In an S7-200 automation station networked with AS-i, fail-safe components (e.g. emergency stop switch or positioning switch) are to be integrated. Expenses and costs of the automation solution should be as low as possible. Particular emphasis is placed on simple expendability of the station.
Automation solution:
In the automation solution, the fail-safe components are directly integrated into the AS-i network. The AS-i Safety monitor enables cost-effective, fail-safe switching in the S7-200 station. This means that no extra wiring is required. The process data and fail-safe data both use the AS-i bus. The station can be expanded quickly and easily.
From a technical point of view, this Micro Automation Set 7 consists of two parts.
Standard automation tasks on field level, such as machine control, are solved in the standard part of the AS-i network The fail-safe stations (e.g. EMERGENCY STOP and safety monitor) communicate in the safe part, independent of the activities in the unsafe part (EMERGENCY STOP)
Startup Code
For the startup we offer you software examples with test code and test parameters as download. The software examples support you during the first steps and tests with your Micro Application Sets. They enable quick testing of hardware and software interfaces between the products described in the Micro Application Sets.
