Backup station: Archiving and visualization of process data (available in 4 versions)
LOGO! Power: Power supply of the S7-200 modules and of SCALANCE X108
SIMATIC S7-200: Central control of the machines, providing the process data in the entire Industrial Ethernet network
CP 243-1: Communication module for connecting SIMATIC S7-200 to Industrial Ethernet
SCALANCE X108: Setup of Industrial Ethernet networks with 10/100 Mbit/s in line and star topologies
Automation task:
Within the framework of a quality assurance measure, process data are to be recorded with time stamp in a controller and archived decentrally. Any controller from the S7 performance range or a PC-based software solution is to be used as archiving station. In addition, PC-based monitoring and controlling of each archiving station is to be possible. It is to be possible to connect all automation stations to an existing Ethernet infrastructure. An unnecessary load of automation and office network must not occur. Configuration, maintenance and monitoring of the automation stations is to be possible from the office network.
Automation solution:
For acquisition of the process data with time stamp, the automation solution uses an S7-200 controller ("Basis"). The data are transferred to the archiving station ("Backup") via Ethernet. Optionally an S7-200, S7-300, S7-400 or a WinAC station with Industrial Ethernet interface is used as archiving station. A standard Windows PC with WinCC flexible acts as PC-based visualization station. The Industrial Ethernet interfaces of all stations are connected via SCALANCE X108. SCALANCE X108 is also used to link the automation network to the office network to enable configuration and maintenance from the office network.
The software example on the configuration has the following functionality:
Micro Automation Set 14 contains a startup code designed to modular principles which illustrates the functions described above according to the used hardware. The MicroWIN project in the S7-200 "Basis" controller simulates a measurement of weight with time stamp and optionally sends these data to one of the following "Backup" stations:
S7-200: Archiving the data in the memory cartridge
S7-300: Archiving the data in a data block
S7-400: Archiving the data in a data block
WinAC: Archiving the data in a data block
Startup Code
For the startup we offer you software examples with test code and test parameters as download. The software examples support you during the first steps and tests with your Micro Application Sets. They enable quick testing of hardware and software interfaces between the products described in the Micro Application Sets.
