The SIMATIC ET 200iSP distributed I/O systen is the economical solution for areas subject to explosion hazards. The intrinsically safe, modular I/O station is particulary flexible and requires minimum engineering, installation and cablin goverhead. In addition to the explosion proof power supply and the interface module for PROFIBUS DP, which can also be configured redundantly, the station can accommodate as many as 32 electronic modules for a maximum of 256 digital or 128 analog signals. Existing analog or HART field devices can also be connected in a simple manner. Product features include:
	• Direct installation in areas subject to gas or dust explaosion hazards, i.e. in Class I, Div 2, Class I, Zones 1 and 2 as well as Class I, Zones 21 and 22
	• Sensors and actuators may be located directly in Div 1 areas and Zones 0 and 20 because of the built-in safe barriers
	• Module replacement can be done during operation (hot swapping)
	• Connection of signals to HART standard without any restirctions in functionality
	• Full PROFIBUS and power supply redundancy
