Siemens’ Mack and Meyer Co-present at 22nd Annual International Fuel Ethanol Workshop & Expo

SPRING HOUSE. Pa.,  – Don Mack, senior marketing specialist, Siemens Energy & Automation, Inc., and David Meyer, manager, Siemens Fuel Ethanol Initiative, will co-present their paper, “The Use of Digital Bus Networks to Minimize Installation Cost and Reduce time-to-production,” at the 22nd Annual International Fuel Ethanol Workshop & Expo. being held June 20-23 at the Midwest Airlines Center in Milwaukee, Wis.

“Digital bus architectures, utilizing technology such as Industrial Ethernet, PROFIBUS and ASi, are now field-proven to deliver significant up-front cost benefits and reductions in commissioning time,” said Mack. “At this year’s workshop, we will explain how these digital architectures allow for direct and tight integration of Smart Motor Control Centers (MCCs), transmitters, valve positioners and power monitoring equipment.”

“The International Fuel Ethanol Workshop & Expo gives us a great opportunity to showcase how digital bus technologies can help ethanol producers drive down production costs, improve prices and availability, and ultimately create better fuel efficiency,” said Meyer.

As a part of the presentation, Meyer and Mack will demonstrate how automation solutions combined with smart digital bus technologies meet the needs and specifications of ethanol producers and the ethanol industry. Workshop attendees will also have an opportunity to speak to industry experts and see examples and applications that will illustrate these benefits to the ethanol producer.
