Portable Clamp-on Checkmetering Kit for the Water and Wastewater Industries
ATLANTA -- Siemens Energy & Automation, Inc. today announced the release of an all-inclusive kit for verifying the accuracy and performance of flowmeters of any brand or type, without cutting into the pipe. It is suitable for check measurement of flowmeters installed on water or wastewater pipes ranging from 1 to 360 inches.
The kit comes in a sturdy weatherproof case with wheels and a telescope handle. The case holds all the equipment including cables, transducer and the SITRANS FUP1010 clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeter.
The Sitrans FUP1010 employs both Transit-Time and Doppler technologies that enable it to measure clean, moderately aerated liquids or liquids with suspended solids. This basic feature makes the flowmeter very versatile because it can verify the performance of meters based on any existing flow measurement principle: electromagnetic, ultrasonic, orifice, rotary piston and coriolis. The internal battery of the FUP1010 provides four hours of operation and can be fully charged in one hour. The one megabyte datalogger downloads reports and statistics to a PC via the included RS232 cable.
