| In this issue of PASNews, Siemens invites you to learn about our Automation
User Community and see the benefits of being an active member. The User Community provides you and your company with opportunities for education, networking,
training, and best practice exchanges. This unique combination of cutting-edge products, systems, solutions, and industry
expertise will help you improve essential areas of your business. The User Community is lead by the User Advisory Board (UAB), a core group of end users and Siemens personnel
who facilitate the open flow of information between Siemens and customers like you. One of the UAB’s main responsibilities
is to develop the Siemens Automation Summit, our annual Users Conference. Recently, the UAB met in Spring House, PA, to develop
new ideas for the 2009 Siemens Automation Summit. Members suggested ways to enhance the conference for all users.

| The Process Advisory Council Hosts U.S. Product Feedback ForumThe Process Advisory Council
members work closely with Siemens to ensure that our products and services meet the needs of our customers. They also work with
Siemens to create an environment for users to provide feedback about their Process applications and share best practices
with each other. The
council members also have the opportunity to provide input for future product direction. The members have
used or are currently using Siemens products and are able to share ideas and suggest improvements to help make
the product better. In October, the Process
Advisory Council hosted a U.S. product feedback forum in Spring House, PA. Attendees included Dr. Stefan Bamberger and Holger Rachut
from the Global PCS 7 Product Management team. Members discussed ways to enhance, develop, and/or improve specific
Process Automation products. The council also gathered ideas on how to make the User Community Online Portal a better
communication tool among its users (see more about the portal below). | |
