Save energy with the Clamp-On Ultrasonic Flowmeter

The SITRANS FUE1010 flowmeter is a highly accurate clamp-on, non-intrusive ultrasonic flowmeter for revenue grade thermal energy sub-metering and energy efficiency distribution monitoring, with a real time coefficient of performance (COP) for HVAC systems.

High sensitivity clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeters help improve building energy efficiency of heating, cooling ventilation and air-conditioning installations by precisely measuring the energy flow. These flowmeters accurately measure the flow of any application, regardless of flow velocity, making the distribution of chilled water in air conditioning systems easier.

A US-based engineering firm recently applied the FUE1010 clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeters ultimately lowering their operating costs and leaving no need for shutdown for installation, maintenance, or calibration check, also saving the firm additional inconvenience.

Sustain effective tank monitoring with reliable level measurement

As the costs of product inventories continue to rise, effective and reliable tank monitoring is increasingly important. A primary element to efficient tank monitoring is reliable level measurement.

By incorporating the Siemens Sitrans LR250 radar level transmitter for your application, you can accomplish successful  tank monitoring.

Benefits of using Sitrans LR250:
Easy to install – small horn and narrow beam allows installation practically anywhere on your vessel
Quick to configure – Quick Start Wizard guides you during setup
Process Intelligence – advanced echo-processing for unparalleled performance
Reliable and accurate – extremely high signal and low noise yields high performance
Full vessel capacity – high accuracy of low and high levels, even with low dielectric media
Operational in minutes – infrared handheld programmer for local operation or SIMATIC PDM via HART® or PROFIBUS PA
Local user interface – graphically displays echo profiles and diagnostic

Enter in our book giveaway and gain a clearer understanding of PROFIBUS

We will be holding a random drawing for a chance to win, Catching the Process Fieldbus: An Introduction to PROFIBUS for Process Automation, written by James Powell, Communications Product Manager and Henry Vandelinde, Ph.D. Manager, Process Sensors Technical Publications and Global Training, both from Siemens Milltronics, Process Instrumentation.

These authors take the multi-dimensional, occasionally confusing mixture of fieldbuses, software packages, and media that defines industrial communications, and make it accessible, helping you to easily understand PROFIBUS technology.

By learning more about PROFIBUS technology, you can save money and improve your plant operations.

This book is not a "how-to" manual, but rather a guide to show you that when industrial communications is understood and then installed, network operation can be both beneficial and painless. It lays the groundwork for communication design, providing information for the curious to explore, and motivation for the dedicated to go further.

Jörg Freitag, Chairman of PROFIBUS International says, "the book is an excellent appetizer - a great introduction to the world of PROFIBUS."

Learn about the universal tool for configuration, commissioning, diagnostics and maintenance of intelligent field devices and automation components

SIMATIC PDM (Process Device Manager) is a manufacturer-independent software tool for configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of intelligent field devices that use PROFIBUS or HART as their communication protocol.

Using EDDL (Enhanced Device Description Language) SIMATIC PDM integrates over 1000 devices from over 100 different vendors. Available as a stand-alone software, or integrated into SIMATIC PCS 7 as part of your asset management solution, SIMATIC PDM is the single tool for all your intelligent device management needs.

Flexibility such as this makes SIMATIC PDM a popular device management tool that yields a high return on investment in both automation systems as well as technical staffing.
