Siemens, a voting member of the ISA18 committee, would like to update you on the status
of the new industry standard for alarm management. The standard, "Management of Alarm Systems for the Process Industries," is
now available for public review and comment.
This new standard is important because it provides recommendations and requirements which address
the development, design, installation, and management of the alarm systems used in your process applications. It also defines the
work processes for effectively maintaining an alarm system throughout the life-cycle of your plant.
Siemens would like to offer you an opportunity to provide feedback on this important new standard. If
