Marketing Leadership Development Program (MLDP)
The Marketing Leadership Development Program (MLDP) is designed to recruit, train, and develop individuals who will be the future product managers of SE&A. Our approach is to offer each MLDP participant exposure to multiple aspects of marketing and product management including competitive analysis, pricing, portfolio management, new product introductions, promotions, channel strategy, inside sales and outside sales.
Rotations for the MLDP will be in one of the following divisions of SE&A.
Automation and Motion Division (AMD) serves the North American Industrial Market, with special emphansis on value added solutions for targeted machinery segments, such as automotive and food and beverage.
Power Conversion Division (PCD) consolidates the activities of Above NEMA Motors and NEMA motors, as well as Medium and Low Voltage Drives addressing the customer’s need for horsepower, speed, torque control and intelligence.
Power Distribution & Controls Division (PD&C) has technologies ranging from circuit protection and energy management systems to controls, industrial software and totally integrated power solutions.
Process Solutions Division (PSD) is a full service solution provider and leader in delivering innovative, integrated products, solutions and life-cycle services.
This extensive two-year rotational program consists of 4 six-month rotations throughout key areas necessary for building skills in product management. MLDP is a great opportunity for graduate seeking to impact SE&A through go-to-market strategies, sales/production forecast, and competitive product portfolio offerings for both new and existing products.
Rotation Information
Division Marketing - Introduction to marketing and financial basics, Product Management role and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process; Focused product expertise, including customer needs analysis, competitive product portfolio analysis; Gain exposure to manufacturing, including order engineering, design-to-cost, product quality.
Corporate Marketing - Strategic Planning, including market analysis and competitor analysis; Marketing Communications, including working with Divisions to create communication tools for product launches and exposure to trade shows; Channel Marketing, including working with SE&A’s Channel Partner Programs.
Customer Exposure - Inside sales, including pre and post sales support and account responsibility; Distributor exposure through working in various functions within their offices; Outside sales, including joint sales calls with experienced Sales Engineers and training on SE&A sales methodology and tools.
Division Marketing - Product Lifecycle Management project; examples include playing a key role in developing the business strategy for a new product launch or existing product obsolescence.
Possible Rotation Locations – including but not limited to Atlanta, GA; Johnson City, TN; Elk Grove Village/Chicago, IL; Springhouse/Philadelphia, PA.
Candidate Criteria
Majors - Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Distribution
Minimum GPA - 3.0/4.0
Relocation - Most rotations will be located in Atlanta, GA, but participants must be willing to relocate every six months during two-year program as needed, or travel for extended periods to other locations.
Must be authorized to work full-time in the U.S.
