Financial Management Training Program
The Siemens Financial Management Training Program (FMTP) is designed to recruit, train, and develop individuals who will be the future financial leaders of SE&A. Our approach is to offer each FMTP participant a wide variety of assignments while providing the necessary training for each participant to advance and add value throughout their career.
This extensive two-year rotational program consists of 4 six-month rotations throughout key areas of Finance. Areas of assignment may include: Business Planning & Financial Analysis, Corporate Accounting, Divisional Assignment, Internal Audit, Mergers & Acquisitions, Manufacturing Facilities, and a possible non-traditional rotation.
Rotation Information
Business Planning & Financial Analysis (BPFA) - consolidate company wide financial activity, perform monthly reporting, and participate in other special projects.
Corporate Accounting - learn Siemens accounting policies through monthly close cycles.
Internal Audit - assist internal auditors while learning audit techniques, Internal Auditing Standards, and SE&A policies and procedures.
Mergers & Acquisitions - participate in projects dealing with mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. Activities include portfolio analysis and financial modeling.
Divisional Assignment - work as the liaison between the business units and Corporate. Activities can range from month end close to cost accounting.
Manufacturing Facilities - gain exposure to cost accounting and operations experience in a plant setting.
Non-Traditional Rotations - created based on business need and personal interest (i.e.: Sales & Marketing).
Possible Rotation Locations - including but not limited to Atlanta, GA; Bellefontaine, OH; Grand Prairie/Dallas, TX; Springhouse/Philadelphia, PA; Juarez, Mexico; El Paso, TX
Candidate Criteria
Major - BS or BA in Accounting or Finance (with a strong accounting concentration)
Minimum GPA - 3.0/4.0
Relocation - Must be flexible and willing to relocate for 6 months outside of Atlanta during the first two years of the program.

Potential Career Path
2 - 5 Years: Financial Analyst, Staff Accountant, Auditor, Credit Analyst, Cost Accountant
5 - 10 Years: Finance or Accounting Manager, Plant or Business Unit Controller
10+ Years: Business Unit or Division Controller, Director of BPFA, Director of Internal Audit, Director of Corporate Accounting
